Sliding what the system said to the back of my mind I decide to answered the doctor's question by shaking my head which he responded by nodding and then proceed to read some information of a folder which I deduced was some information about me.
Name: Jasmine Star
Age: 25
Education: High school deplomer
Height: 5'6
After the doctor finished telling me the basic information he left along with the other doctors, I guess they did that to give me some privacy with the man who had only spoken once so far.
"Braydon." The man said after a while, which I assumed was his name
" The doctors are going to check on you one last time to make sure you're ok, then i would aply for you to be discharged." Braydon said with a cold tone
It was shocking as I didn't expect him to be the first to say something, but I quickly replied as I didn't want to keep him waiting since he looked like he had somewhere to go.
"OK." I managed to reply as my throat felt really dry. It was unknown how long I had been in a coma, but judging from the way my throat felt, it must have been a long time.
I think he noticed that I was having some trouble talking because he proceeded to move towards the table just by my bed to pour me a glass of water, which I happily accepted
"Thank you." I told him after finishing the glass, which he responded with a nod.
"Where am I going to stay when I get discharged." I asked anxiously since I had no were to go from here
"You would be living with me for a while before I can find a place for you."
"OK, what about my family." I asked
The room suddenly turned gloomy. I realized something was wrong, so I asked hesitantly
"Do I have..."
"No, you don't."
"The rest of your family died in an accident the same one that put you in a coma." He continued after some time.
I felt sad but I didn't know why. Since I didn't know the family of this body, I shouldn't feel sad, but I guess It would have been nice to have a family that appreciated you
... Braydon Pov ...
It was Sunday and I had just gotten of work so I decided to visit Jasmine, it had been 10 years almost 11 since Jasmine was in that devastating accident which put her in a coma and killed her family.
Our families were good friends so we basically grew up together and we were really close too maybe too close as I started to develop some feelings as we grew up, we were only 14 at the moment but before I could realized what they were she was in a coma. It felt like my heart had been crushed. I always regretted not being bold enough to tell her how I felt, but there was nothing I could do about it .
After Jasmine was put in a coma, I distanced myself from people, which made me lonely with no friends, but i was ok with it as the only friend i had was in a coma and the thought of losing more people just sacred me .
I didn't talk to any except my family when I wasn't necessary because I was afraid they would leave me like she did. Which resulted in my cold character.
"Sir, we're at the hospital." My driver told me. I was so lost in my thoughts that i didn't even notice when we got to the hospital.
I replied him with a hmmmn before I got out of the car and headed towards the hospital, I was prepared for another long night and sad night because that was what i felt everytime I came here sad that my friend was in a coma and i didn't get to express my love for her when she was still well and awake which made the night exceptionally long.I didn't visit a lot as any time I did I would just be reminded of the past.
Anytime I did visit, though, I always stayed overnight as there was always so much to talk about.
I heard that people in a coma could hear what was going on outside even if they weren't awake, and just talking to her about my day or how life has been going always brought a weird sense of peace.
