Chapter 27 - The black knights

"Where are they?" Asorth spoke, dressed in a robe, covering just enough to make her decent but with the urgency she used to dress, her cleavage and thighs were still exposed.

She surged forward, her footsteps heavy with determination, her sword gleaming in the dim light of the late afternoon.

Behind her trailed two women, their faces etched with a mix of fear and resolve, each clutching a sword tightly in their trembling hands. The air was tense, filled with the electric charge of impending battle.

The ground beneath them was littered with fallen leaves, crunching softly beneath their hurried steps.

The distant hum of the village, once filled with laughter and chatter, had been replaced by an unsettling silence, broken only by the panicked breaths of the villagers.

As they closed in on the scene, Asorth's heart pounded in her chest, a mixture of adrenaline and fear surging through her veins.

The village entrance came into view, and she saw her fellow villagers gathered in a wide semicircle, their faces a mosaic of terror, determination, and exhaustion.

"One of the women said they just showed up out of nowhere, and pinned down about three of us… we are currently fighting them down, but their numbers… are too much for us to take down," one of the women following Asorth panted, her voice trembling with a mixture of fear and urgency.

The village entrance lay before them, bathed in an eerie twilight, and at its threshold stood a menacing group of individuals, numbering around a formidable fifth.

They were an imposing sight, cloaked in skin-tight black armor that clung to their powerful frames, making them appear more like shadowy specters than mere mortals.

Each of them wore a face-concealing mask, a cold, emotionless visage that sent shivers down the spines of the villagers who dared to look upon them.

These enigmatic figures were known as the Black Knights, an elite special force directly answerable to the kingdom's ruthless king.

They were the king's instruments of terror and control, tasked with carrying out missions too dark and reprehensible for the ordinary knights to undertake.

Their reputation was one of dread and cruelty, as they executed the king's orders with unwavering loyalty and brutal efficiency.

In the face of this grim assembly, the villagers felt a chill settle in their hearts. Fear crept through the crowd, despite their determination to defend their homes.

The dragons that soared ominously behind the Black Knights, their massive wings casting long shadows over the scene, added to the villagers' sense of impending doom.

The villagers exchanged uneasy glances, their minds filled with memories of the Black Knights' heinous deeds – the merciless slaughter of entire villages for unpaid taxes, the abduction of women for sex slavery.

The villagers knew that these ruthless agents of the king would stop at nothing to achieve their objectives, and the very mention of their name sent shudders through the bravest souls among them.

"I might be confused, but you seem a bit… different from our previous encounter… I believe you were all a bit younger or was it older?" The black knight standing in front of the squad spoke.

The women immediately glared at him, their weapons held high as they held their ground against the individuals.

"Gentlemen, there's no reason to be so tense… you're here for a reason right, state your business and we'll decide what to do, how does that sound?" Luna asked, stepping forward with a smile on her face despite the uneasiness she was feeling.

Luna stood her ground, a few feet away from the imposing figure who led the Black Knights. Her eyes locked onto him, unyielding and filled with determination.

Behind her, three other women, their faces etched with defiance, stood ready to leap into action should the Black Knights dare to make a move.

The leader of the Black Knights let out a weary sigh, his voice dripping with an air of indifference. "This is a complete waste of time," he remarked, his words laced with disdain. "But since it's been a while since I've been here, I could at least infuse fear again."

His words hung in the air, a reminder of the terror he and his squad had brought to the village in the past. Luna's grip on her spear tightened even further, her resolve unshaken.

Slowly, the leader removed his mask, revealing his face, his back hair, flowed down covering his left eye, with a smirk on his face as she looked at Luna.

"Luke Valot." Luna called out in a hush tone, a smile on her face as she continued, "Long time no see, what has it been… 15 years?".

"I see you haven't forgotten me… I haven't forgotten you too… last time we met, I believe you were right here on the ground… begging me to spare your friend's life." Luke spoke, pointing at the ground to his right.

Luna's smile faded a bit, her voice turning cold as she asked, "What do you want?".

"Okay fine, I'll go straight to the point, King Julian just lost his wife… and every time he does, he throws a fit… truly a troublesome thing you see." Luke spoke, sighing,

"Sadly, the only way to calm him down is if you give him fresh women to settle with for a while and where else to find neat virgins than the Eldorian village".

"I'll humbly have to decline your offer, but you see… you see our chief isn't the sharing type… I hope you understand?" Luna spoke.

"Chief?" Luke uttered back, a bit surprised as he began looking around to see if he could spot any male amongst them.

In the process of searching, he noticed Asorth and two other women had joined in, their faces filled with worry and anger.

"Luna… are you alright?!" Asorth called out before standing beside Luna defensively.

"Oh my… just you? Where is my son?" Luna asked.

Luke's expression immediately went from that of curiosity to disgust as he looked at Luna, "Son? Don't tell me you have been disvirgined? I thought your whole community was based off being freaking virgins?...".

"What do you think?" Luna replied teasingly, cleaning mocking the black knights.

"Hey! Don't make matters worse!" Asorth exclaimed, covering Luna's mouth with her hand to keep her quiet.

"Unbelievable… your only good worth in this whole goddamn forest and you managed to mess it up… just who the hell do you think you are?! You couldn't keep you pussy clean for a couple of years?! You're dead! I'm killing every single one of you now…."

Luke suddenly spoke, his eyes fixed on the ground with his face twisted in rage.

"First time seeing a clown around here… but sorry, I'm afraid we don't have the time to spare on petty tricks." Arthur's voice suddenly chimed in.

All eyes immediately darting upward towards where the sound was coming from, and floating in the air, was Arthur, behind him the three maidens each looking down at the group.
