Clarence simply couldn't hold out any longer, the Blue Flood Dragons were too crazed, and the Gravity Spell seemed to have lost its effect on these creatures. Thunder Magic, too, was greatly restricted by the adult Blue Flood Dragons' protective maneuvers, and with their guard, the juvenile Blue Flood Dragons were exceptionally active. It was in this way that Dreyba was torn to pieces alive. Gilbano was hit in the chest by these damned magical beasts and lay motionless in the lake water; his chances of survival seemed slim.
Under such circumstances, it was truly too difficult to keep oneself going; now, the only option was to go their separate ways in search of survival. It wasn't that one didn't want to take responsibility, but at this rate, when the magic power was exhausted, it was feared that none would be able to escape the Demonic claws of the Blue Flood Dragons, set on tearing them to pieces.
