Having successfully recruited six Dark Mages into his fold, Komer felt much better about himself. He could sense that Giovanni's level of magic had likely reached the realm of the archmage. Giovanni's flamboyant style made it easy for Komer to perceive his power, whereas another mage named Konti also possessed formidable strength, only slightly inferior to Giovanni. However, Konti was much more low-profile, barely moving his lips during his oath of allegiance, and Komer had not heard him speak since then.
The true strength of Dark Mages can only be demonstrated through Dark Magic, but that does not mean that mages are only limited to casting Dark Spells. Specialization is necessary, but mastering one or two other types of spells can also be extremely useful at times. Thus, apart from the confident use of their core spells in any situation, nearly every mage possesses some skill in additional magical specialties.
