Germain glanced at Killua, who was hiding in the branches like a monkey, and smiled. Without saying anything, he walked towards the Trial Gate.
"Goodbye, Mr. Germain." Canary bowed slightly to Germain as he passed by, and Germain nodded in response.
He stood in front of the tall and majestic Trial Gate, and just as he was about to push the door, he heard hurried footsteps from behind.
"Wait." Killua ran over and stopped three meters away from Germain. The fear in his eyes had subsided, leaving only a lot of doubts.
"Do you want to fight again?" Germain turned around, looked down at Killua, and asked knowingly.
"No more fighting." Killua crossed his arms and stared at Germain with intense eyes. "I just don't understand... what was 'that' just now? Why did Mike stop?"
He was sure that the well-trained Mike would not listen to orders from outsiders, but Germain just stood there, releasing an indescribable aura, which made Mike pause.
More importantly, Killua had also felt a similar aura from Illumi, which almost suffocated him and made him want to escape without stopping.
He also asked other people in the family, including Canary, but no one was willing to tell him what it was. It seemed that this was related to the "most critical period" that his mother often talked about.
Now, Killua finally saw someone outside the Zoldyck family who also had this "special skill". Although he was reluctant in his heart, he still caught up.
He wanted to know the truth.
"Master Killua." Canary followed with a worried look on her face. She once again guessed her master's thoughts and kindly advised, "Let Mr. Germain go."
"You go feed Mike, don't let it eat too much." Killua saw Canary's embarrassment, so he pointed in the direction of Mike and gave a command.
Canary looked at Master Killua, who nodded slightly. They understood each other without words. Canary hesitated for a moment, finally sighed, and agreed.
As Canary walked towards Mike, Killua looked around and saw no one else was there. He took the chance to ask, "Germain, tell me, what is that?"
"That's 'Nen'," Germain answered briefly.
"As long as you are willing to tell me, I will never forget... Eh?!" Killua and Germain spoke at the same time. Killua never expected things to go so smoothly and was surprised.
"'Nen'?" He looked Germain up and down suspiciously. "You're not lying to me, are you?"
Killua was amazed that he could get information so easily without needing to exchange something or use torture.
"It doesn't matter whether you believe what I say next or not," Germain said simply and explained the meaning and relationship of "Aura," "Nen," and "Nen ability."
The more Killua listened, the more serious his expression became. Many past doubts were now being solved one by one. He had to admit that what Germain said was probably true.
"Then... can you teach me 'nen ability'?" Killua asked tentatively.
"No, your eldest brother would hunt me down," Germain said, seeing Killua's disappointed expression. "But I know where you can learn it."
"Where?" Killua's hope rose again.
"After passing the Hunter Exam and obtaining a Hunter License, someone will come to teach you," Germain finished. "That's it, I should go."
"Ah, but..." Killua wanted to ask more, but Germain ignored him and calmly opened the door to the Sixth Trial under Killua's stunned gaze.
He could only push open the three layers of six doors.
Germain walked out of the Zoldyck family's trial door, and Zebro hurriedly walked out of the message room, first greeted Master Killua, and then said goodbye to Mr. Germain.
The trial door slowly closed behind Germain, blocking Killua's view of his back.
Germain walked forward a bit, his hands in the pockets of his black hunter's robe. Suddenly, he felt something in the left pocket. He pulled it out and saw it was a cardboard robot.
"What is this?" he wondered. He noticed an opening in the robot, so he turned it upside down. A small ball rolled out and landed in his palm.
He pinched it between his fingers and examined it closely.
"Ah," Germain's memory clicked. "This looks like Killua's favorite chocolate ball. How did a whole box end up in my pocket?"
Then he remembered. During his "play" with Killua earlier, his kleptomania had kicked in, and he had stolen the box of chocolates from Killua's pocket without anyone noticing.
"Should I return it?" Germain tossed the chocolate ball into his mouth. The slightly bitter yet sweet taste spread across his tongue. "Never mind, I'll just consider it as the fee for the 'Nen' information."
On March 25th, Bisky finally explained the results of her negotiations with the "newcomer" in the "Stagecoach Group."
Although Wing was skeptical about the possibility of teleporting directly to the Dark Continent, he agreed out of trust in Bisky.
The delay in announcing the result was due to the newcomer's shyness. She was hesitant to join a group full of strangers.
Bisky persuaded her, promising that if she didn't want to go with them, she didn't have to, as long as she guaranteed medical assistance after they returned.
Reluctantly, the newcomer agreed under Bisky's persistence. She still doubted the whole thing but didn't have the courage to voice her concerns.
On March 26th, Bisky brought both of them into the "Stagecoach Group" and introduced them to Germain and Shizuku.
"Wing, my disciple, you know Germain. I've given him the information I've gathered, and he's studied it overnight, so he should be fine."
"The other one is Sanbica Norton, a virus hunter and a one-star hunter of the Hunter Association. She will be our group's medical consultant."
It was her.
Germain recognized Sanbica. He remembered her as a petite doctor who always wore a tight white coat and a mask. She was shy and didn't talk much.
Although Sanbica specialized in virus research, she also had medical knowledge, like first aid.
Sanbica was well-liked in the Hunter Association. After Chairman Netero's death, she was even considered as a candidate for the next Chairman.
Bisky approached Sanbica because of her excellent medical skills and quiet nature, believing she could keep this journey a secret.
Germain decided to meet everyone on March 30 and planned to start another journey to the Dark Continent two days later, on April 1.
