Chapter 54 - Chapter 55 Germain’s Personal Opinion!!

"I got it. Give me three minutes; I might come up with something." Germain grabbed a pen and a blank notebook. "You guys just hang on for a minute."

"Sure thing!" Bisky waved and kept swinging on the chair.

Shizuku tore open a bag of potato chips and stood behind Germain, munching away while peering over Germain's shoulder with keen interest.

"Traveler" – Ordinary person

"Apprentice" – Awakens Nen ability, masters the Four Major Principles

"Brave" – Masters advanced Nen abilities, mastered Advanced Techniques

"Elite" – Possesses rich combat experience with Nen abilities, possess powerful Nen abilities

"Master" – The best in the world, capable of establishing a school to train elites

"Champion" – The most powerful Nen user in the human world

"Legend" – Can freely explore the Dark Continent

"Unknown" – Uncertain status

Germain put down his pen, opened his notebook, and glanced between Bisky and Shizuku. "This is my take. If anything's unclear, feel free to ask."

This time, Bisky hopped off the swing chair and hurried over to the table, examining the notes before nodding in agreement.

"I think I grasp the gist, but just to be sure, could you explain each one to ensure we're on the same page?" she suggested.

"Sure thing," Germain replied calmly.

"'Travelers' refer to those who haven't tapped into their Nen yet, the majority in the human world," he began.

"They merely wander through life, experiencing its ups and downs without comprehending the world's truths, hence 'travelers.'"

"'Apprentice' denotes someone who has awakened their 'Nen ability' or further honed their mastery of the 'Four Major Principles.'"

"Ever heard of the Nostrade Mafia family? Neon, the leader's daughter, manifested the 'Lovely Ghostwriter' ability, granting her the power to glimpse the future."

"And then there are those who pass the final stage of the 'Hunter Exam' each year. Only after awakening their 'Nen Ability' do they truly become 'Hunters.'"

"However, they all share a common trait: they still have much to learn, hence they're collectively labeled 'apprentices.'"

"'Brave' refers to those who have mastered the advanced stages of 'Nen ability,' like 'Gyo,' 'In,' 'Ken,' and others, as well as created their own 'Nen ability,' signifying a clear path forward."

"Hunters" who have obtained their "Hunter's License" and have been in this area for several years.

"They have initially understood how vast and dangerous the world is, but they still choose to move forward and challenge the unknown, so they are all "brave."

In addition, according to my personal judgment, the beasts in the "Dry Valley" mentioned before are basically "apprentice" and "brave" levels.

"Therefore, those who enter here must be at least "apprentice" level, they can't survive there.

"Elites" are "Nen users" who have experienced countless life and death battles. However, the combat power of people in this range is very wide.

The three of us, Wing, "Shadow Beast", and "Phantom Troupe" all belong to the "Elite". This level is the mainstay of all "Nen Abilities".

"I judge that the "Lord of Crows" in the "Milt Land" is at the "Elite" level, and as for those crows, they are at the "Apprentice" level.

"Master," the best in the world, a school of his own, has the correct concept that can teach "elites."

Among the people I have met so far, only Chairman Netero belongs to this level.

"Champion," the most powerful "Nen user" in the human world, is superior to all the strong people living in the human world, so he is the "Champion."

As far as I know, Chairman Netero, who was more than fifty years ago, was the undoubted "champion."

"'Legend' refers specifically to the man who wrote "Journey to the New World," Don Freecss.

"If he is still alive and still in the "Dark Continent," then he is a living "legend."

Hearing this, Shizuku suddenly interrupted: "Wait a minute, Germain, you just mentioned 'Ging Freecss,' and now you mention 'Don Freecss.' Is there any relationship between them?"

Shizuku, who maintained a serious demeanor and clear focus, remained quite perceptive.

Germain elaborated, "Don Freecss is the ancestor of Ging Freecss, and he ventured to the 'Dark Continent' approximately three hundred years ago."

"Many of the adventurers from the human world who explore the 'Dark Continent' refer to the accounts in his 'Journey to the New World: Eastern Chapter.' As for his own journey, the 'Western Chapter,' it remains undiscovered."

"More than three hundred years?" Shizuku exclaimed with a puzzled tilt of her head, "Wouldn't he have succumbed to old age?"

Bisky pondered, resting his chin thoughtfully on his fingers as he continued Germain's explanation.

"Perhaps he did pass away from old age, illness, or met a violent end. We possess no knowledge of his fate, nor his whereabouts thereafter."

"But if he consumed the one of Five Hopes, the Herb for All-illnesses and the Nitro Rice, he might still be among the living."

"This suggests that Don Freecss himself could possibly reside on the western side of the 'Dark Continent.' Of course, such 'mad speculations' have never garnered much favor," Bisky remarked.

Shizuku nodded, murmuring softly to herself, "The world is truly vast. It harbors all manner of people and phenomena, where anything can unfold."

"Indeed."

Shizuku inquired further, "Germain, what does the final 'unknown' signify? You haven't clarified it yet."

"That's precisely what 'unknown' denotes," Germain clarified, "I can speculate that Don Freecss remains alive, or hypothesize the existence of entities surpassing him within the 'Dark Continent.'"

"'Stronger Life'?" Shizuku queried, "What could that be?"

"I cannot say," Germain replied candidly. He paused briefly before adding, "Bisky, Shizuku, truth be told, there are several questions I've deliberately skirted around."

Shizuku adjusted her glasses and inquired, "What's the issue?"

"Why is one of my initial two 'lanterns' pointing towards the 'Dark Continent'?" Germain glanced at Shizuku. "Why do I possess such 'Nen ability'?"

Bisky, who had been meditating, also stirred at this moment, chiming in, "It's as if something is urging you to venture to the 'Dark Continent' and uncover its secrets. Is that what it implies?"

"Yes," Germain affirmed.

Bisky couldn't help but shake his head.

"Despite knowing the potential risks, you still opt to embark on this journey. In a way, you're the most audacious individual I've ever encountered."

Germain remained silent, gesturing towards the balcony with its glass door ajar. From this vantage point, the city lights were obscured, leaving only the dark expanse of the sky adorned with faint starlight.

The stars appeared diminutive, as though on the brink of being engulfed by darkness at any moment.
