Chapter 205 - True Hell

Bertha and Milan gathered their stuff and left Nature Paradise for true hell.

True hell was a bit away from here, so the couple used Anti-Rachel's Transportation Agency (ARTA) to travel. The alliance set up the Anti-Rachel Transportation Agency (ARTA) more than 100,000,000 years ago.

The endless space within the universe is vast, and low-level immortals are not able to traverse it without wasting thousands of years on the way.

Anti-Rachel, knowing this is an opportunity to make money, set up a Rank 12 formation centered on Travel universal law.

Travel universal law is general and is not good for battles, but when used in non-combat-focused formations like this, it displays its true powers. With very little consumption, it can help low-rank immortals move from place to place at a much faster speed than they otherwise would have.

The cost of using it is Anti-Rachel contribution points.

These days, Anti-Rachel contribution points are extremely useful; many do their tasks to get points so they can use such services. It has many other services available; as long as one has enough contribution points, there are few things one cannot get.

The Anti-Rachel alliance has labs for many concepts, including rare ones such as Dream and Illusions. It also has books about many concepts, and with contribution points, one can even hire personal teachers. Even if something is not directly sold by Anti-Rachel, one can put up tasks with contribution points for others to find it or trade in the Anti-Rachel Free Trade Forum.

Even civilizations, not members of Anti-Rachel, pay close attention to their markets; there is nothing rivaling it when it comes to the needs of immortals.

Every civilization can use anti-Rachel's markets, but non-members must pay taxes on everything they sell or buy.

It does lack when it comes to the needs of high-rank 13 civilizations; those could only look for rank 14 civilizations to provide for their needs.

...

Looking around, Bertha was amazed; she could feel moving at an incredible speed.

"With this speed, we would reach true hell in only 10 years!" Milan said with awe. It is not the first time they have used ARTA, but it is the first time they have used its super-class service.

ARTA has many different tiers: third class, second class, first class, and super class.

The third class is the cheapest; despite being the cheapest, it is still much faster than any speed a rank 11 immortal can travel at.

The second class is faster than the third class, while the first class is better than the second class.

A first-class speed is equal to the speed of an average rank 12 immortal! Super class is the speed of an average rank 12 immortal who is doing their best.

ARTA does not have the ability to replicate the speed of a rank 13 immortal.

"Yeah! I paid a lot of contribution points for it!" said Bertha.

ARTA services are not very expensive; Bertha paid 406 contribution points for this trip. The price would differ depending on the distance traveled, but the difference between superclass and lower classes is not very big in short distances.

Despite being tens of thousands of years away, even with the speed of rank 11 immortals, true hell is not that far from Nature Paradise World. In the grand scheme of things, one may even consider them to be right beside each other.

Third-class travel would have cost around 101 contribution points, which is not that much higher than super class.

Only in long distances would the differences really reach an unaffordable level.

The super class has many resorts, and one can enjoy those while waiting to reach the destination.

Milan and Bertha, however, only visited them once before returning to their rooms and meditating. They have enjoyed many things in their personal worlds and are not very attracted by the resorts here. As the spaceship is made for travel, not much work has been put into the resorts on board.

Not that immortals really care; it can be said that the reason so little effort has been put into the resorts is that immortals almost never care.

...

After waiting for a few years, they reached true hell in time.

A world rank 12 is far vaster than a world rank 11.

True hell was not that big before, but now it is massive; its red light was visible a month before they actually reached it.

One must consider that the endless space is filled with chaos, so its light's ability to so far so far is amazing.

In general, lights of rank 10 worlds can only spread to the local area; they will be obstructed by the chaos and will never be able to reach faraway places.

A rank 11 world's light can reach further, but still not that far.

A rank 12 world's light, however, can reach faraway places; it is, after all, rank 12 and has a universal law.

Looking at the vast, bright red light, Bertha hesitated; she was a bit disturbed by the unimaginable bloodlust it was spreading.

"It is named True Hell, after all! Did you expect anything else?" Milan asked with a smile, which contradicted the massive bloodlust and pure red light shining on his face.

"Let's go in!" Bertha already has the code to enter the world.

...

Zagronan has renovated his True Hell world completely; it is nothing like it was before.

Even though he likes Hell, he dislikes chaos now. So, his Hell has strict order.

First, there are 100 demon kings, all rank 11, working under Demon Emperor Zagronan himself. Below them, there are demon dukes, who are rank 10 immortal demons.

There is no demon count, baron, etc., only demon dukes.

Zagronan's level is now higher than before, and he won't accept any mortal demons into nobility.

Each demon noble has territory and works under demon kings.

Below demon dukes, there are mortal demons. They act as cannon fodder in wars; wars among immortal demons personally are rare, but wars among demon cannon fodders are a daily occurrence.

After all, it's Hell; even though Zagronan favors order over disorder, he still prefers regular wars.

In the past, he tried implementing a demon evolutionary system; before, he had successes, but without a universal law, no matter how much he perfected his formation, it would never be enough to truly create interesting, evolved demons as powerful as immortals.

But now it's different.

With the help of a universal law, Zagronan has been able to create many different evolutionary paths. With the help of the universal law, even mortal demons can become as strong as some weaker immortal nobles.

Normally, it is unimaginable for a mortal to become as strong as an immortal, but it is entirely possible because it is a law of the True Hell world.

A rank 11 world would be hard-pressed to elevate the power of mortals to rank 10, as it would consume a lot of energy, but for a universal law, it's extremely easy.

As a result, even though all mortals are, in the eyes of immortals, ants, some ants may combine with other ants and evolve to the point that they transform into monster ants that even immortals fear.

Today, there are a few mortal demons with the power of rank 10 immortals, even though they lack complete laws.

There are downsides, however. If a demon reaches the power of immortals without any complete law in the process of evolution, it will, in an overwhelming majority of cases, lose its mind and become a chaotic monster.

One must not think of all demons as chaotic monsters; in fact, high-level demons are not much different from high-level humans, so losing one's mind is a massive downside. Many who are at the end of their lifespan still choose it, though.

...

"Look!" Bertha pointed in a direction! Looking over, Milan saw a massive mountain, hundreds of kilometers high, moving.

"Wait, is that a mortal demon?" asked Milan.

"Yeah! But I feel it is too powerful for a mortal," said Bertha.

Looking more carefully, Milan saw something atop the head of the monster.

"That's Zagronan!" said Rachel.

Just as she said that, Zagronan, on top of the massive monster, came down and said, "Hey, Bertha! I heard a lot about you from Rachel! Welcome!"

Looking over, both Bertha and Milan bowed slightly; after all, Zagronan is a rank 12 and was Rachel's host for longer, so it's proper for them to bow.

"Lord Zagronan, we are a quiet couple! Please allocate us a small plot of land; we will not make trouble!" said Bertha.

Zagronan nodded and snapped!

...

Fifty-Fifth West Hell used to be ruled by a demon duke, but unfortunately for the duke, it was taken from him by the demon emperor.

The demon emperor kept the position vacant for a few guests.

This made many demon kings unsatisfied, especially the 10th demon king, who ruled the 55th West Hell area.

Unfortunately for demon kings, the demon emperor is beyond their ability to handle; anyone who complained was killed by Zagronan.

Five demon kings were killed!

Zagronan doesn't care about demon kings; even though they are rank 11, now, as a rank 12, they are not much different from dust.

Rank 11, in front of rank 12, is not even qualified to be counted as an ant; in fact, even calling them dust is an overestimation.

The difference between rank 11 and 12 is so vast that one would be hard-pressed to find words to describe them. One may say rank 11, in front of rank 12, is like a single atom in front of the sun. But even that is too much because a rank 12 is infinitely stronger than rank 11; a single rank 12 can kill an infinite number of rank 11s.

This relationship is the biggest difference in power, except for one.

That is the creation. Rank 15, the realm of creation, is infinitely stronger than rank 14; no matter how many rank 14 beings, or anything for that matter, are in front of rank 15, it's nothing.

...

The 55th West Hell capital is called Westblood City.

The record books record the cities in True Hell by their code, but in the 55th West Hell itself, everyone just calls it Westblood City.

This city is quite diverse. It has elves, humans, angels, all races of demons, orcs, beastmen, planmen, snake men, cat men, etc. One thing they share is that all of them are slaves, and all have miserable lives.

As for who is the master? It is the local mayor, Demon Lord Red Horn.

Red Horn is a rank 9 demon mortal, but his power, as a result of many evolutions, is quasi-rank 10. It is still not quite rank 10 and can be crushed by rank 10s, but he has hope to gain rank 10 power.

...

Looking over the city, Bertha nearly threw up from disgust.

She had never encountered so much corruption and bloodlust at once; it shocked even an immortal like her.

"We should clean up here!" said Milan, who was equally disgusted.

As good, positive people, they cannot live here, so they can only clean it; anyway, Zagronan gave them control of it, so nobody can complain.
