Lee also created a world.
As the mage of the Humanoids Academy, she advocated for the spread of humanoid life in her first world. However, she only did it because her magic weapon needed the aura of humanoids to work.
When she reached rank 10, that magic treasure lost its importance; no matter how good it was for rank 9, it was still nothing in front of rank 10 magic treasures.
After reaching rank 10, she left her first world and joined another civilization recommended by Rachel. It was called Coprarte World, with 50 Universal laws.
Lee hated it; its laws were restrictive, and everything revolved around the corporations. It only obstructed her, who wanted to create an academy.
So, she completely put the idea of creating a mage academy aside and worked hard for that civilization.
Now, after a billion years, she is a rank 11 mage with 1,000,000 complete laws and a rank 12 body.
Like others with Rachel's incarnation helping them, she advanced far beyond.
Dyer and Lewis didn't have Rachel's incarnation, so they only gained a few thousand complete laws even after a billion years.
But Lana, Zagronan, Lee, and Bertha all had Rachel helping with pills, information, connections, etc. So, only after a billion years, they collected at least hundreds of thousands of complete laws, and if they did not reach a rank 12 body, they at least got close to it.
It must be noted that rank 11 pills are difficult to concoct; it's not as easy as it looks. To get one rank 11 pill, Dyer worked for a hundred thousand years.
After reaching the rank 12 body only a million years ago, Lee left the Corporate World.
She created her Humanoids Academy in a new world she had made. Even though she no longer needs humanoids for her magic weapon, she still named it this way.
As for which direction it goes, she wants it to be focused on dream research.
Even after this long, she still hasn't turned Alex 'real.'
Alex is the 'child' she got from Karl's dreamworld inheritance.
He later turned out not to be a child but the most lasting dream of Karl. At first, Lee thought she could modify him and turn him into a real person, but she couldn't be more wrong.
She greatly underestimated rank 13.
Karl was rank 13 in his life, and his dreams when he died were also rank 13.
Even after who knows how long, a rank 13 is a rank 13; nothing Lee did, no matter what formation and spells, worked.
Alex remained a baby and didn't change after a billion years; he is the most lasting dream of a rank 13. Can a rank 11 change him? Of course not!
If Lee becomes a rank 12 and gets a dream complete law, then she can 'modify' him. However, Lee didn't give up.
She is the kind of person who pays back favors; Karl helped her gain so many masteries, and she decided to help his most lasting dream become real. She will not surrender this easily.
So, she researched the Dream concept and made the Humanoids Academy specialized in dreams, too.
The Humanoids Academy has over 50 worlds, one rank 11 world, and 49 rank 10 worlds.
Most civilizations concentrate their complete laws in one world, like Lee, who placed 1000 complete laws in the rank 11 world and two each in the other 49.
Because the strength is far more significant if it's centralized, if she creates 1000 rank 10 worlds, they will be far easier to destroy than one rank 11 with 1000 laws.
The rank 11 world was vast and was a mage system.
At the top of it was the Humanoids Academy, the true ruler that could decide everything. However, the Humanoids Academy didn't interfere with mortal affairs, so most mortals didn't even know that such a thing as the Humanoids Academy existed.
Lee is in the final stages of designing a dream world specialized in her needs, but for now, this humanoid world is an ordinary world with nothing special about it.
She still has to test, though.
...
Somewhere in the Humanoids World, Rand was dreaming.
Suddenly, he woke up and jumped, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
It was a weird dream.
He saw himself as the king of a powerful country named the Alex kingdom.
He was Alex III, the king who defeated the demonic empire of spikes.
The dream was so detailed; He felt like he had dreamed for hundreds of years; all those battles were so vivid as if they really happened.
"Did it really?" he began to doubt everything.
He recalled all those memories and felt a sense of loss.
All those glorious memories were fading away, like all dreams.
"Such a shame!" he felt depressed.
There, he was a hero, but here, he is a jobless 30-year-old man who lives in his dad's house.
He sees himself as a failure.
He dropped out of college and, with no degree, could only do simple jobs with low pay.
In this city, with these rents, he cannot live independently. His salary wouldn't even cover the rent, let alone food, clothing, etc.
"Ah, I really wish the dream was real!" he thought of this, dropped back to his bed, and slept.
...
Five Star Country is a republic with an elected prime minister.
It used to be rich, but lately, the inflation rate has plunged many into difficulty.
As for why inflation increased so much, some say it's because the country prints too much money, and others say it isn't taxing the rich enough.
The election a month later will determine which one people think is the case.
The Purple Party advocates for higher taxes on the wealthy, and the Silver Party advocates cutting spending.
For now, the Purple Party is winning in the polls.
Rand is a fan of the Purple Party; the last thing he wants is less social spending and government help.
The best way is to tax those rich 'vampires,' as he calls them, who have so much money they don't know what to do with it.
Would life be so much harder if they had 500 million instead of a billion?
These thoughts were common among the younger generation who couldn't buy or even rent homes, even though they worked hard.
The older generation, however, didn't want more taxes. They worked so much to get rich, and now that they have become wealthy, the government wants to come and take it from them.
They felt it was unfair.
Of course, some young people liked lower taxes, and old people wanted more taxes.
Rand sighed.
His job is cleaning this restaurant.
He opened the door, entered, got his equipment, and was about to start.
But something caught his attention.
A few restaurant managers were talking loud enough for him to hear.
"You dreamed about the Alex kingdom, too? How is it possible?" the man with a bald head asked.
"Yeah, I was a soldier who died in a war we had with the Demonic Empire of Spikes!" another man in a suit said.
"So strange! I never knew two people could have the same dream! I was the minister of war there," the bald man said while shaking his head.
He concealed a few points there! In his dream, he was the minister of war who betrayed the Alex kingdom and was in prison, waiting to be executed! He was so happy that it was a dream when he woke up.
"Hey, Rand, come here," the man in the suit said.
Without waiting for them to ask, Rand said, "I had the same dream!"
The man in the suit and the bald man looked at each other and then at Rand.
"Prove it! What was the name of the king of the Alex kingdom?" the bald man asked.
Rand said the name from the dream, "Alex III."
The man in the suit thundered, almost shouting, "Unbelievable! I'm going to call the local news! This story is so unbelievable!"
He called them and started to explain it to the news reporter.
"Three people had the same dream about a kingdom named Alex, which was fighting demonic empires of Spikes …"
The news reporter said doubtfully. "I saw the same dream!" The phone was on speaker, so everyone heard it.
By now, a few other employees had come, and they, too, had the same dream.
"This matter is serious!" said the bald man.
Rand prayed for the dream to become real, as he was a king there!
The entire population of the Five Star Country had this dream.
In fact, it was not just them; even other countries and continents all had this dream! Everyone was talking about it and theorizing what it was.
All kinds of theories popped up, from alien invasion to ghosts haunting the world. Ultimately, they got tired and went to bed at night.
...
"Hmm," Alex III looked at the glorious room and throne he was sitting on.
He looked at his hands; he could feel them; it was real, not a dream.
He stroked his mighty beard. "What a strange dream!"
He dreamed about being a poor commoner in a strange world.
As King Alex III, even dreaming about such a thing is shameful.
After all, he is the king who defeated the demonic Empire of Spikes! He is so high that nothing can touch him; they call him God among the people.
How can he even dream of being an ordinary person?
He stretched and stood up.
Today is the 'day of justice,' the day when the spies, war deserters, and traitors will be executed!
He called, and a few servants came and clothed him.
When he got ready, he summoned the minister of ceremonies.
The man came bowing and said, "Your Majesty!"
"Is everything ready?" he asked with a slow tone.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
"Let's go!" said Alex III.
...
Mark II was thinking.
He had a strange dream of being a bald man.
Even though he liked having hair, he still wished that dream to be real.
After all, here, he is about to be executed!
Guards came, blindfolded him, and took him out forcefully.
After a while, they dropped him to the ground and opened his blindfold.
Mark II looked around and smiled bitterly.
A few knights with giant swords were standing around, presumably to behead him. All around were people looking and cursing at him, and up above was Alex III, looking at them and the world with contempt.
Alex III is a legendary character who will go down as a hero in history books; he is so high that they call him a god among people.
But Mark II knows these are all fake! Alex III is a normal human, and he is intolerably arrogant!
Alex III stood up, and everyone around bowed and kneeled except for the guards, of course.
"Today is the day of justice! What better way to start today than shedding the blood of a few vermins? Those who take up their swords against us will die, no doubt, but those who we have trusted and then turn around and betray us not only condemn themselves to death, but their whole family shall die alongside them," he roared.
Alex III pointed, and the guards brought around a hundred more people, all chained, to the execution ground right in front of Mark II.
Mark looked at them and closed his eyes with grief.
Men and women, young and old, these people were his family.
Alex III stroked his beard and said, "Executioners, you shall kill the traitor's family first; let him see the destruction of his bloodline."
The guards nodded and forced Mark to look as they began.
They killed more than 100 people, many of whom were very young and all of whom were innocent.
Before dying, all looked at Mark with disappointment, fear, disgust, and anger.
Tears streamed from Mark's eyes as the last one, a very weak old man, his grandfather, was beheaded.
"Any last words?" Alex III stroked his long beard with interest as he asked.
Mark II spat toward him.
Alex III laughed loudly and ordered. "Kill him!"
The guard, with a sharp sword, slashed!
...
Rand suddenly woke up.
Then, he started laughing! He just dreamed about ordering the execution of someone!
