The police have used all the possible tactics they could employ to make Jeff spill out who sent him to assassinate Jerry and how he was able to get into the hospital and also disguise like one of the doctors but all their efforts have proved abortive as Jeff have refused to say a word until the arrival of his lawyer.
Meanwhile his lawyer was defending one of his clients at the court making it impossible for him to come to the police unit so they had to wait till the next day for the lawyer's arrival in order to continue with the interrogations.

The food was in a disposable plate accompanied by a plastic spoon.
Without hesitating he opened the plate and started eating the food.
