Purple Summers's joy did not last too long.
The people she had sent out, following the chip embedded inside the ring, tracked it to a port. With tens of thousands of ships docked at the port, and a vast sea of people, finding Clyde Summers and Atra Blanc was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Neither Alexander Summers nor Purple themselves had the authority to stop all the ships in the port from setting sail.
As they searched for Clyde at the port with their limited manpower, the tracking signal suddenly cut off.
Clearly, Clyde had discovered the ring.
In the end, Clyde still took Atra away with him, triumphing once more.
Purple stood at the port, the sea breeze carrying a chill as it wildly tousled her thick black hair. She stared at the endless ocean before her, her eyes dry and sore.
Alexander stood behind her, silent and motionless.
The mood of both was far from good.
