Halfway there, they received a call from the tour guide.
It was almost 12 o'clock, and the yacht was about to head to the next attraction, so the tour guide wanted to make sure that all passengers were on board.
Alexander Summers and Purple Summers joined the tour, not for the sightseeing, but for the pursuit. Naturally, they would not return.
However, after hanging up the phone, Alexander had the driver stop the car.
"What's wrong?" Purple asked him, puzzled.
Alexander replied, "Purple, when we got off the boat earlier, the tour guide mentioned Clyde Summers left the group, but he didn't say that he disembarked, right?"
Purple's eyes widened. "You mean..."
"We have very likely been deceived," Alexander said. "If the tour guide has been bribed by Clyde, then that statement was deliberately misleading us."
— Clyde was still on the yacht, and now Purple and Alexander could no longer catch up with that ship.
Purple was completely dumbfounded.
