Purple Summers followed him out and saw Alexander Summers waiting for her at the entrance of the restaurant, his expression looking awful.
"What's wrong?" Purple approached and asked, "What did she say to insult you?"
Alexander scoffed, "She said her insecurity is all thanks to me. If it weren't for my engagement to Lily Howard, she wouldn't be so anxious. She also accused me of having sinister intentions, wanting to monopolize Lily."
Purple: "..."
After a moment, Purple gently took Alexander's arm and quietly consoled, "Forget about it... She's from abroad and doesn't understand the inner workings of the Howard family; don't take it to heart."
Her feelings were indeed complicated: her man was getting engaged to someone else, yet she had to comfort him instead...
