Mrs. Jameson, hearing this, immediately straightened up in her seat.
"Ms. Summers, if you don't mind, I will call you Purple," Mrs. Jameson said gently. "I initially had doubts about your abilities and your motives, but generally, you've exceeded my expectations so far. It was my short-sightedness. You've done a great service to my family. Purple considered for a moment, then said to Mrs. Jameson: "When I was in middle school, I had to stay away from school on health grounds and a private tutor was arranged for me. I continued with my studies at home, and now, joining Grey, I wish to study in sophomore year directly instead of the freshman year. However, to do so, I require a guarantor for the jump-a-grade examination application..."
Purple looked up at Mrs. Jameson, "I would like to ask you to be my guarantor, Auntie."
