The private room at Harvestville needed to be reserved in advance, something that just wasn't possible for a last-minute request like Lyle Westbrook's.
But his status was different, and the Manager made special arrangements for him.
Lyle Westbrook led the person into the private room, had them sit down, and then instructed the waitress, "Bring some hot water, a cup of yogurt, and some hot porridge, plain rice porridge, with a little sugar in it."
His instructions were careful and thoughtful, and the waitress looked enviously at Enna Clark with her flushed face, obediently agreed, and left.
Before leaving, she also helped close the door.
Enna Clark was just feeling dizzy from the alcohol, not yet unconscious. She realized she had run into Lyle Westbrook and even vomited on someone. After the initial dizziness, she suppressed the discomfort in her stomach and awkwardly apologized, "I'm sorry... That wasn't intentional earlier."
