Just as Enna Clark turned her head, her wrist was grabbed tightly by Jacob Clark who had a gloomy expression on his face. His muscles trembled as he questioned her, "Why are you here?"
Why couldn't she be here?
Enna coldly pulled away from his grasp and retreated a step, "Why can't I be here?"
"You, go back first!" Jacob commanded without a second thought.
Enna thought her ears were playing tricks on her, and looked at him in surprise, "President Clark, is the charity banquet tonight hosted by you?"
Everyone knew the charity banquet tonight was government-led, so it couldn't be hosted by Jacob! Even Jacob, as foolish as he was, could tell Enna was mocking him. His face darkened, he furrowed his brows, and he unexpectedly explained, "I have important things to do tonight, and it's not convenient for you to be here. You go back first."
The explanation still had a tone of arrogance.
