Joey Thompson heard this and sighed with relief.
Thank goodness, this person hadn't abandoned him.
After the woman had finished speaking, she continued, "I will make arrangements for you. You need to leave first. You can't go to jail too!"
Joey Thompson nodded.
But then he thought of Iris Thompson, who had been kidnapped. He hesitated before speaking again, "I need to go pick someone up first."
"Is it that wife of yours?!" The other's voice was sharp, filled with mockery, "I didn't expect you to be such a hopeless romantic, ha!"
Joey Thompson pursed his lips.
The woman said again, "You go first. She hasn't broken any laws. I'll send her out to find you later."
Joey Thompson's eyelids drooped as he said, "She's not with you?"
As these words fell, the woman let out a cold laugh, "Why would she be with me?"
After saying this and realizing something, she bluntly asked, "What do you mean?"
"She's been kidnapped." Joey Thompson's voice remained calm.
