Just upon reaching the floor of the hospital ward, they saw two suited bodyguards standing there.
As the group approached, the bodyguards immediately blocked their path, "Hello, entry is prohibited here."
Were they preventing visitors?
Eve Thompson narrowed her eyes.
Carlos Charlie's parents were stopped in their tracks, momentarily stunned.
Eve Thompson spoke up, "These are the patient's parents, you have no right to prevent them from visiting. Please step aside."
At these words, the two bodyguards hesitated slightly.
Connor Dixon, Carlos's father, hurriedly spoke out, "Yes, I am Carlos's father. Let me in to see my daughter. How can you not let me in? Is there no law anymore?"
The bodyguards paused, seeming troubled, when a voice came through, "Are you Carlos's parents? Mr. Thompson called me to facilitate your visit."
