The boss spoke respectfully on the phone, saying a few words to the person on the other end: "Alright, alright, no problem..."
Then, the boss hung up, seeming somewhat dazed.
Iris Thompson stared at him and called out, "Boss?"
He seemed to snap out of it, not even looking at Iris Thompson, directly grabbing his coat and walking out: "Ah, Iris, I have something to do, I'll be out for a while, and we'll talk about your matter when I come back!"

Confused, Iris Thompson left the boss's office and saw Reginald Bates standing not far away, smiling at her.
When he smiled, he revealed a row of bright white teeth, contrasting with his wheat-colored skin.
Iris Thompson walked over and called out, "Master."
Feeling somewhat down, she didn't know what to say, but not wanting Reginald Bates to worry, she managed a smile.
