Joey Thompson frowned when he heard this.
After a moment, he realized something and turned to look at Ava White, his tone quite stern, "Mom, did you cause trouble for the Enterprise Defense Competition again?"
Ava White looked a little guilty, her eyes flickering, "No..."
But facing Joey's not-so-severe gaze, she stammered, "Well, during their competition today, there was maintenance, and the power was cut off for more than ten minutes. But it's not my fault, and besides, everything turned out fine in the end, didn't it? They still won first place!"
Joey Thompson heard this, and being as intelligent as he was, how could he not understand what had happened?
He frowned and scolded, "Not them, us! Our company won first place! Mom, you really are…"
Ava White shrank her neck, but then she lifted her chin, "Don't always blame me. Now, your precious little sister, the woman you've been protecting since childhood, is trying to kick me out of the company! Why don't you blame her?"
