Everyone was looking at Irvin's computer, the screen was dark except for a snippet of code that was flashing, but they had no idea how to take over from there.
Flynn frowned.
Yet, Ava White laughed sarcastically, "You so-called free-loaders who are usually fed well, why are you useless at a critical moment like this? Irvin is our external help! Without him around, you are totally clueless? Is this all the Technical Department can do?"
After giving her rant, she turned to Eve Thompson and slowly said: "Iris, don't blame me. I'm doing this for the sake of the company. And even if Irvin gets released tonight, the company won't let such an unclean person step in without proper investigation into his issue!"
Having said that, she folded her arms, wearing an expression that suggested she was settling in for a good show.
Eve ignored her, finding her utterly repugnant.
She commanded, "Close the door, no outsiders are allowed to interfere in the Technical Department's matters!"
"Yes."
