Iris Thompson clenched her fists as she thought about it.
As she was staring blankly into space, deep in thought, some of her classmates seemed to notice her. Someone asked, "Hey, why aren't you leaving yet?"
Iris Thompson snapped out of her daze, walked out, and entered the elevator.
But her ears were still perked up.
As expected, those classmates were still discussing:
"But last time's reunion was quite strange. I heard Mr. Charlie even stepped in to help her, giving her support... Women, as expected, have to rely on their looks..."
"Without the birthmark, she's really changed a lot, and it seems her personality has changed too. She used to be like a mute just now, but who dares to bully her now?"
"Exactly..."
The rest of the conversation faded gradually, accompanying the elevator as it went down and the doors closed.
Worry clouded Iris Thompson's gaze.
Has Eve really been doing well?
She sighed, suddenly feeling a sense of guilt towards Eve.
