This private restaurant is on the first floor, while the second is the living quarters for staff, locked to prevent customers from going up the stairs. Now that the door is locked, they can't get out!
The two were shivering from the cold, beating against the door in desperation to get the attention of the staff.
Anthony Charlie, nonchalantly turned around, heading towards the private room.
On the way, he saw a waiter delivering dishes. The waiter, hearing a noise from the end of the hall, curiously asked, "What's that noise over there?"
Anthony, with an impassive face and hands in his pockets, drawled in an offhand manner, "Probably just the wind. It's pretty windy outside today."
The waiter was flattered beyond measure.
They all knew Mr. Charlie and were astonished that such a lofty figure would deign to speak to them. The waiter exclaimed, "Oh, I see!"
So, the waiter, who was initially going to check on the noise, stopped in his tracks.
