Eve Thompson came back without much thought and approached the group. The first thing she saw was a few jewelry boxes on the table, all of which were opened. The shiny jewelry inside was roughly worth tens of millions of dollars.
Ava White sat nearby, her eyes fixed on the sparkling jewelry, openly displaying her greed and heartache.
Seeing Eve return home, Jonas Thompson immediately stood up with a flattering smile on his face, "Iris, you're back? Are you tired?"
Eve thought he looked ridiculous but before she could say anything, he continued, "Iris, we're family; we'll have some bumps along the way. You're a good kid and won't mind, right? Emma, what do you think?"
