Before he could finish, Eve Thompson realized her own indiscretion and blurted out, "I'm going back first."
Then she turned around and left.
Mark Talbot stared at her departing figure and shook his head.
When Eve got to the door, her mood downcast and head lowered, Anthony Charlie spoke up, "Don't rush, there's still time. I think, as long as we work hard enough, people will be able to accept Carlos Charlie. Right now, everyone is just scared by Alexander Thanos, their emotions running high."
Eve knew he was right and nodded.
Just then, her phone rang. Picking up with dismay, she heard Irvin Sharman's voice on the other end, "Alexander Thanos has escaped!"
The sentence caused Eve's pupils to dilate suddenly, and she asked in disbelief, "What?"
