Mair Williams, who was all smiles just a moment ago, had her expression sour instantly when Jane Sampson brought up that question.
"Don't even mention it. He rejected me. It broke my heart," Mair acted like a young wife clutching her small chest and said, "He told me that we're not from the same world, that we're not suitable for each other. I was nearly infuriated to death by his answer."
Mair fumed and asked Jane, "Little Jane, tell me, how are Liam Woody and I not suitable? In what ways are we not suitable? How are we not from the same world? Could it be I live on Earth and he lives on Mars? Or is it that I live in the 21st Century and he lives in ancient times?"
After thinking it over, Jane nodded profoundly and then asked seriously, "Could it be that he thinks your genders aren't suitable? After all, if the genders aren't the same, where's the true love?"
"Pfft~" Mair almost spat out her juice but managed to choke on it instead.
