"Wow, what a big heart," James Black stared at Jane Sampson's sleeping face and mused, "Still able to sleep even when she's that angry."
After teasing Jane to himself, James finally closed his eyes to conjure up some sleepiness.
No matter how angry he was on the inside, Jane indeed slept very well.
The next morning when she woke up, James Black had already left the bedroom.
Jane Sampson saw him in the courtyard, stretching his muscles. As soon as their gazes met, she quickly looked away. Although she had not allowed James to have a full meal last night out of anger, this morning, Jane fed him breakfast with an expressionless face, even cold.
James had endured all night, thinking that after a good night's sleep, Jane, who was quick to anger but also to cool down, would have gotten over it by now. To his surprise, she seemed even more intense that morning.
