Jane Sampson's mouth twitched as she put the stuff in her hands into the kitchen refrigerator.
When the boiled water was ready, Jane Sampson poured a cup for everyone; this wasn't a permanent residence, so there weren't things like tea leaves – everyone was very familiar with each other, and a cup of boiled water was enough to observe etiquette.
"It's getting late, why don't you all have dinner here tonight?" Jane asked the group, "If you don't have other plans for the evening, how about eating at mine? I'll get Coco to buy some more vegetables later, and I will cook for you."
