"Let's not chitchat since the important matters are discussed," Jane Sampson tossed James Black's phone back into her purse. "My arm is getting sore from holding it up."
Every movement, every word, she was trying her hardest to hide the fact that she did something behind James's back that he should not see.
Just as Jane was trying to find a topic to divert James's attention, the front doorbell suddenly rang.
Jane quickly stood up, "I'll get the door!"
Whoever it was at this moment, they were her savior.
"Mr. Carter!" Jane opened the door and immediately smiled upon seeing James Carter standing in the doorway, murmuring to herself that Mr. Carter really was her lucky star, arriving just in time.
"All you see in your eyes is your Mr. Carter, not seeing your Brother Young?" John Young joked as he walked over from behind James Carter.
