Then she was about to reach out, but unexpectedly, just as her hand started to extend, James Black's hand beat her to it, taking hold in the next second. Jane Sampson then saw James Black shake hands with the little soldier who had reached out to him.
The soldier probably didn't react or notice due to excitement and happily shook hands, then quickly let go and ran off with a big smile, shouting as he went.
"Ah~ Ah~ I shook hands with Goddess Sampson! I'm not washing my hands for the rest of the month~" The little soldier shouted, cheerfully heading back to his dormitory.
"Could he be a dummy?" Lieutenant Johnson stood to the side, watching in a daze, then his gaze fell on Jane Sampson's hand held by James Black, mumbling to himself that the Chief was truly stingy, not even willing to let his wife's hand be shaken by someone else.
