"Okay," Jane Sampson agreed briskly, "I've got a morning to linger in the Bed and rest well, and with extra time, I can even pick up some Springtown's traditional specialty souvenirs for my grandfather."
"Mm," James Black's voice carried a smile, "Do you know what I like?"
"No idea," Jane responded with earnest, "But I don't need to know, I wasn't planning on buying you a gift."
There was a nearly imperceptible twitch at the corner of James's mouth on the video, followed by a soft chuckle.
"It's very late; time to rest," Jane waved at James through the lens with a giggle, "Remember my gift though!"
Honestly, throughout the week, Jane couldn't stop thinking about it several times and often couldn't resist wondering what exactly was the gift James mentioned he was getting for her.
After all, James had said with such certainty that she would like it.
