James Black listened patiently to Jane Sampson's speech, no matter what she said. He just listened, sometimes murmuring 'Mhm' quietly as a response to let her know he was still listening.
Once Jane had finished speaking, he spoke again, "Call me before you come back, and I'll pick you up."
"Sure." Jane agreed obediently, but inside she kept mumbling to herself, wondering why James seemed to be getting more and more naggy.
