James Carter was also amused by Jane Sampson's antics. "That puts my mind at ease. Ms. Little said I was on your 'altar of worship,' and I was just worried that after this meal, I might fall off that pedestal."
Jane's eyes were crescent-shaped as she laughed, then she handed the menu to James Carter.
"Mr. Carter, Ms. Little, have you eaten at this restaurant before?" Jane asked.
"No, I rarely come to Capital Province," James Carter shook his head. "This place was recommended by a friend; it's my first time here."
"Ms. Little is probably the same, right?" Jane looked at Ms. Little, who was also not a local from Capital Province. Following Ms. Little's nod, Jane said, "I've been here several times, so may I recommend a few dishes for the two teachers without reservation?"
Jane had dined alone with Ms. Little several times and knew her taste well—a true lover of spicy food.
