Who was dawdling up to the cashier's counter, then looking around anxiously?

Jane Sampson hadn't said a word when James Black hummed again softly, completely dumbfounding her.
"What are you humming about?" Jane mimicked James's tone from just now as she asked in return.
James just breathed out softly without answering, his gaze moving away from Jane's face and landing directly on the display shelf next to them.
Jane looked in the direction of James's gaze once more and, with one glance, her heart leaped into her throat!
"You can't buy that!" Jane almost sprinted over to push James aside, baring her teeth at him with a very fierce expression, "You can't buy that! You can't buy that!"
"What's all the fuss about?" James was stunned by Jane's sudden explosive temper, he lifted his hand to press down on her head, pushing her face downwards, and then gently led her forward to see what she was forbidding him to buy.
James glanced at the shelf.
