It can be said that the sound of the phone call suddenly disconnecting with a "beep, beep, beep" left James Black with indescribable, odd feelings. He tossed the mobile phone back to Peter Gingery and relit a cigarette to smoke.
From time to time, people passed by outside the window. Standing in a small bungalow with only one floor, one could simply lean towards the window and take in all sorts of people walking along the roadside.
There were old women who had strolled around the nearby small square and were returning, as well as little children who had just come back from playing at a classmate's home. And of course, there were also the little lovebirds tightly holding each other's hands, smiling radiantly as they walked not far from James Black's line of sight.
James snapped a photo of the lovebirds on his phone, catching Peter Gingery's attention.
"Brother, is there a situation?" Peter Gingery immediately shed his carefree attitude and asked in a hushed voice.
