"Director, my assistant brought some chrysanthemum tea. Let's all have some after the meal to soothe our throats," Jane Sampson said with a smile, stopping in front of James Chip, "Especially you, Director. You should definitely drink an extra cup. You really had a tough morning, preaching with a bitter heart for quite a while."
"Ah, okay," James Chip was momentarily stunned before taking a cup and expressing his thanks, "You young ladies really know how to stay healthy. This flower tea smells really nice."
James Chip was somewhat surprised that Jane Sampson was being so amiable and even brewing chrysanthemum tea for everyone.
Of course, James Chip was a sharp man and could certainly hear the barely veiled mocking tones in Jane Sampson's words.
Hadn't he just been earnestly preaching to Amber Edwards right before the meal?
Although the object of his earnest lecture didn't seem very grateful.
