The stuff had already been purchased by Alexander Forest, after all, with her being his only wife, if he didn't give it to her to make her happy, then whom else could he give it to?

"Since you like the gift I gave you, then just consider it something to cheer you up in advance," he said, turning his head back to look at Jane Sampson with a smile curling at the edge of his lips. "If there's a next time, you're not allowed to ignore me because of this time's gift."
"A life-saving gold medal, huh?" Jane Sampson's interpretation of his words was exactly this. "You've calculated that next time you make me angry, and I ignore you, you've already sent the gift to pacify me in advance? What's the deal, James Black, are you planning to keep on making me mad?"
Jane Sampson, who had been all smiles just a second before, suddenly got irritated.
