James Black nodded and gave a grunt of affirmation.
Jane Sampson's heart gave a yelp of surprise, "This guy's acting weird! He's not asking me to stay! He's not dragging me along?"
"Oh, I also picked up some snacks for you at my dormitory today," James's tone was a bit indifferent, sounding almost like an afterthought.
However, the figure that had slightly turned away clearly shifted back just a bit, and that someone's eyes practically spelled out, "What did you buy?"
Jane Sampson was definitely someone who couldn't stay focused even when angry, and her irritability was never single-minded.
"I think I grabbed a pack of Alps candy, seems like there was also a pack of marshmallows, two bags of potato chips, one bag of broad beans..." Everything he mentioned came from Peter Gingery's private stash.
Jane had already turned her whole body back around without realizing it.
