After making a round with the bird eggs that Jane Sampson had brought down, James Black returned to Jane's side, carrying the ladder. He reached out and took the hand of the woman standing there, foolishly looking at him, then they went down the mountain together.
Before reaching the mountain bottom, Jane saw a group of people waiting for her. She hurriedly let go of James's hand and ran down to the gathering place.
"Everyone's here, let's head back to the location where we gathered this morning." Peter Gingery glanced at Jane, who could still manage a smile toward him. It seemed his brother hadn't been too harsh with her; she was still able to smile.
The group was curious about why Jane was the last to arrive, not coming down with the filming crew, but no one chose to ask at this time.
Back at the gathering field, they recorded another short segment of the show, which announced the winning and losing teams of the day, as well as one of the punishments for the losing side.
