James Black looked down and, well, she had indeed bought quite a lot of stuff. If it wasn't for seeing an Alps lollipop and a bag of potato chips mixed in with the vegetables, he might have really thought she had just gone out to buy groceries.
In fact, those vegetables were nothing more than a disguise for her true intentions, and after dumping the items down, she was still bending over with her waist and grinning at him, clearly afraid he would see.
"There's a crowd; you wait outside, and I will line up to pay," Jane Sampson said, looking at James Black with the gentle gaze of a considerate wife, "I know you men have no patience for queues..."
"Unfortunately for you, I happen to have that kind of patience," James Black cut her off, a slight smile playing on his lips, clearly because he was worried about spotting those two snack items when paying.
But he just didn't want things to go her way, and seeing her looking so tensely nervous was particularly amusing.
