Jane Sampson huffed at James Black, who was busy driving and not replying to her attempts at conversation, "Why aren't you talking?"
Throughout the drive, she had been the only one talking nonstop. At first, he would occasionally grunt in response, but later on, he acted as if he didn't hear her at all.
So infuriating. It made her look like an idiot, constantly talking to herself.
"Talk about what? How caring Mr. Carter is toward you?" James Black sneered. "Unless I've gone mad."
James Black didn't feel like quibbling with Jane Sampson and parked the car in front of a restaurant. He then gave Jane a look, indicating for her to get out, "We'll have dinner outside before heading home."
