When it came to grades, Jane Sampson was second to none. Even after entering high school as a special liberal arts student, she still crushed her classmates and, back in the past, had secured first place in grades to enter international prestigious schools.
James Black was truly defeated by Jane Sampson's boasting about her grades. Jane's thought processes were probably slightly different from his.
