Steve Burton seemed to know that woman, and they were quite familiar with each other. They were dancing a beautiful and elegant dance in perfect harmony, and chatting from time to time.
Occasionally, when they found something amusing, Steve and the woman would look at each other and laugh.
Steve's laugh was not particularly strong, just a faint curve of his lips. However, Ruby Gregory found his laughter glaring, causing her to focus all her attention on Steve and the woman. She completely forgot that she was dancing with Howard Coleman, and accidentally stepped on Howard's foot.
Ruby came back to her senses, apologized to Howard, and said "Sorry." Then, after barely two steps of dancing with Howard, her gaze drifted back to Steve and the woman. Within less than half a minute, Howard let out another painful grunt.
This time, Ruby didn't take her eyes off Steve and the woman, and absentmindedly repeated, "Sorry."
