Steve Burton's movements were gentle, showing no signs of anger or irritation. When the glass touched the marble tabletop, it made only a faint and crisp sound.
Immediately afterward, Steve didn't even look at Ruby Gregory and went straight into the bathroom.
Ruby still stood dazed in place. After just a minute, she heard the sound of water from inside, and it was then that her mind began to process the situation.
Steve didn't want the child... he said he had no interest in having the child... so, he had been giving her contraceptive pills all this time, right?
