Anna Jadwin startled awake from a nightmare, lying on a large bed with tier upon tier of lotus-white ruffled bedskirts.
She found herself in Wayne Bailey's room, with a servant sitting by the bed.
Anna Jadwin wiped the sweat from her brow, thought of that nightmare, and was so scared that she got out of bed with shaky legs.
"Madam, are you looking for the young master? He just came to see you and has just gone out."
Anna Jadwin's face turned an unusually pale shade, "Gone out? Where did he go?"
After returning from the church, in the car, she had leaned against his chest and dozed off into a deep sleep, likely terrified. The fear had overwhelmed her nerves, and she had no idea how she had been carried into the mansion and placed on the bed.
"The young master heard that the princess had a fever again, so he went to check on her."
"Ivy Bailey has a fever?" Anna Jadwin walked a few steps unsteadily, bracing herself.
