Anna Jadwin watched his pain and helplessness, suddenly reaching out to embrace him.
He had once said that as long as she held him, the pain would be gone.
Wayne Bailey's figure paused briefly.
Anna Jadwin hugged him tightly, looking up directly into his indifferent face…
"Wayne Bailey, if I hold you, will your pain lessen?"
"…"
"What about this?" She moved forward, her lips pressing against his thin ones.
A flicker of uncharacteristic emotion passed through Wayne Bailey's eyes, his body rigid as if it had been frozen.
Anna Jadwin felt his body tremble less, as she gently kissed him.
Her breath clung to him, infusing him with her addicting scent.
"Wayne, what are you doing!?" Cathy Xavier's voice came loudly, "Push her away, I want you to strangle her!"
Wayne Bailey's hands grasped Anna Jadwin's shoulders, but another force resisted, and he couldn't push her away!
