Anna Jadwin's foot bone was in pain, limping as she walked, nearly falling down several times. Her long dress snagged on the thorns of the roses, and she tore at it forcefully, her feet quickly becoming caked in mud.
Parting the dense shrubbery, on the other side of the Roman Wall, the beautifully flower-enveloped Rose Lake Anchor sparkled green, like a jewel set in the garden.
A servant stood at the shore in a state of panic, her face turning pale when she heard footsteps and saw Anna Jadwin!
"Where's Leo? Where did you put Leo?" Anna Jadwin yelled.
Footsteps rushed over, and the figure of Wayne Bailey flashed through the thick leaves and branches.
Upon hearing someone approaching, the servant immediately shouted, "Ms. Xavier, I did everything as you requested this afternoon... Why are you here too, get out of here quickly!"
Ana Jadwin saw the calm surface of the lake and instantly understood everything!
But not a single bubble could be seen!
