Anna Jadwin breathed in close proximity. He squatted in front of her, staring at her intently, "Is this for me?"
Did he discover her true intention to poison him and gouge out his eyes, so that she could seek Maxwell Cameron?
"Don't think that acting dumb will get you off the hook —" Wayne Bailey gripped her arm and tossed her onto the bed in disregard of her pain, "How could I be blind enough to fall for you?"
Hiding behind the duvet, Anna Jadwin concealed her battered body. Her long eyelashes slightly curled up, "I never intended to poison you."
"Who else could it be, then?"
"The poison was for myself," Anna Jadwin gave a bitter smile, "Please let me go... I already feel terrible for poisoning my grandfather... Don't worry, even if you set me free, I won't be able to live for long... Let me go, so your territory remains untainted..."
Her voice broke, her eyes were horribly red and acidic, but her dry eyes could not shed tears, only convulse in agony.
