"Come here, and I'll tell you," Wayne Bailey said flatly.
"..."
"Don't want to know? Then close the door and go back to sleep," Wayne Bailey said with a stern face.
Anna Jadwin was silent for a moment before walking into the room and moving to the side of his bed.
Wayne Bailey lazily drooped his eyelids, sneering at her, "Come here, closer..."
"I'm already very close!"
Wayne Bailey unexpectedly raised his hand and grabbed at her.
Anna Jadwin's reflexes were astonishing; she retreated several steps in an instant, like a real little rabbit.
"Uncle, you tricked me, didn't you?"
"What do you think?" Wayne Bailey teased, his lips curling up wickedly. He feigned getting out of bed to catch her, and Anna Jadwin bolted from the room, faster than anyone's movements.
Wayne Bailey didn't chase after her; watching her flee in panic, it was as if one second later, he would have truly devoured her.
Wayne Bailey's eyes dimmed, and he leaned back against the large pillow without moving.
