Norris sat up in bed and looked at Trenton Smith, glumly saying, "I can't sleep."
Trenton smiled, walked over, and caressed her hair. "Did he bully you?"
"No." She hugged him. "It's just that I find him annoying."
"How about I take it out on him for you?" he said in a gentle and light tone, a smile playing on his lips, "Cheer you up?"
Norris was startled and looked up at him, "What are you going to do? Fight with him?"
Trenton laughed out loud. "Do I look like someone who would be that crude?"
Norris pursed her lips. "You don't need to do anything. I'm just not happy. It's nothing to do with you."
She disliked Philip Shaw, so just seeing him irritated her. There was no need for Trenton to offend Philip Shaw on account of her dissatisfaction.
Even though he had offended him many times on her behalf already.
