The sound of frying in the kitchen suddenly stopped.
Aldana looked up at him, seemingly not understanding the meaning of Elias's words.
Norris Moore walked in, speaking quietly, "Aldana, Philip Shaw is in London now. Today, while I took Gogo and Elias to eat downtown, he saw Gogo. ...I'm sorry."
Eric Candi came out of the kitchen upon hearing Norris Moore's words, his tone slightly heavy, "Did he take Gogo away?"
Norris spoke softly, "He initially wanted to kidnap me ... but then he saw Gogo ..."
"Sister Candi, it's all my fault," Elias said, wiping away tears and choking up, "If I had been a bit smarter at that time and hadn't taken Gogo out, it would've been better." He felt utterly heartbroken, thinking that it was his fault Gogo was lost.
Philip Shaw was such a terrifying person; if Gogo suffered in his hands, Elias would never be able to forgive himself in this lifetime.
